received the Bursary before<\/p><p>\u27a2 Applicant is furthering their education and attending or planning to attend a post-secondary institution.<\/p><p>\u27a2 Youth archers are defined by the CAF, for the purpose of this bursary only, as being between the\u00a0ages of Seventeen (17) and Twenty-one (21) years of age as of December 31st each year in the\u00a0year the application is being submitted.<\/p><p>\u27a2 The applicant is aware that the bursary amount will be forwarded to the post-secondary institution indicated in the\u00a0recipient\u2019s application process.<\/p><p>\u27a2 Applicants must be current members in good standing with Archery Canada.<\/p><p>\u27a2 The applicant has competed in an officially sanctioned archery tournament or will be\u00a0competing for Canada at a World Championship or international archery competition.<\/p><p>\u27a2 The applicant has demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship as a member of Archery Canada.<\/p><p>\u27a2 The applicant has conducted themselves in a manner that is a credit to the sport of archery and\u00a0as a representative of Canada.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e98ee37 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e98ee37\" eligible.<\/p><p>\u2022 Only one submission per applicant per year.<\/p><p>\u2022 All applications must be time stamped no later than end of day December 15th<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>TO REFERENCE WRITERS<\/b><\/p><p>\u2022 It would be helpful to the evaluators for this award if reference writers would comment upon<\/p><p>the positive qualities they have observed in the applicant.<\/p><p>\u2022 In addition, it is important for the reference writers to comment upon specific examples of the<\/p><p>circumstances in which the applicant demonstrated those qualities.<\/p><p>\u2022 Please include your contact information on the reference letter<\/p><p>\u2022 All reference letters should be signed and dated by the reference writer.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>TO THE BURSARY RECIPIENT\/WINNER<\/b><\/p><p>\u2022 Be available for a brief interview or provide a quote that will be published in the media release<\/p><p>announcement.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS<\/b><\/p><p>All submissions from applicants who have not yet been awarded the CAF bursary will be<\/p><p>considered prior to reviewing an application from a previous bursary recipient.<\/p><p>Ranking will be allocated based on the following considerations:<\/p><p><u>20% Academics<\/u><\/p><p>\u2022 Marks from the most recent educational year.<\/p><p>\u2022 Any academic awards and recognitions the applicant has received in the past two years.<\/p><p><u>40% Athletics<\/u><\/p><p>\u2022 Participation in archery as well as other athletics (in the most recent 3 years).<\/p><p>\u2022 Any athletic awards and recognition received (in the most recent 3 years)<\/p><p>\u2022 Results from competing in World Championships, Youth Olympic games or other international<\/p><p>archery competitions.<\/p><p><u>20% Participation<\/u><\/p><p>\u2022 In archery specific events (in the most recent 3 years)<\/p><p><u>20% Character<\/u><\/p><p>\u2022 Demonstrated Leadership qualities.<\/p><p>\u2022 Demonstrated respect towards other archers, coaches and officials on and off the field of play.<\/p><p>\u2022 Overall good citizenship and positive role modeling in sport and community<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
